Dear New Homeowner,
Welcome to the Country Club of Louisiana Property Owners Association, a distinguished community nestled among centuries-old oaks, magnolias, and an array of Louisiana's indigenous trees. Our scenic lakes and historic bluffs create a natural setting that is unmatched in Baton Rouge, reflecting our commitment to elegance and good living.
As a new member of our 1,000-acre upscale gated community, you are now part of a unique enclave of 685 lots, with 662 beautiful homes. Our community is centered around a members-only country club, a privately owned jewel that collaborates closely with the Property Owners Association (POA) on various social events and maintenance initiatives. While club membership is optional, we are proud that approximately 42% of our residents choose to partake in the club's exclusive amenities.
Our dedication to maintaining the beauty and integrity of our community is evident through the meticulous work of our Architectural Review Committee. They oversee all exterior home improvements, ensuring that each modification aligns with our community's aesthetic harmony. Adherence to the Design Guidelines is not just encouraged but is essential for preserving the unique charm and character of our environment.
The community spirit thrives through regular family events held in our main park, which serves as a hub for our residents. Additionally, our secondary park, located on the edge of Bayou Manchac, includes the beloved Manchac Bark dog park. These spaces are integral to the daily life and joy within our community.
Security and privacy are paramount in CCLA. Our dedicated team of guards manages controlled access entry at two gates, operating 24/7 to ensure your peace and safety. They also play a crucial role in maintaining traffic order and upholding community standards.
CCLA operates much like a small town, with the POA diligently managing day-to-day operations and long-term planning to ensure financial stability, architectural beauty, and overall community development. Our governance structure includes a Board of Directors consisting of seven members elected annually to serve three-year terms. This leadership is complemented by various standing and ad-hoc committees, each dedicated to specific aspects of community life such as traffic, safety, parks, and finance.
As you settle into your new home, we encourage you to explore, engage, and enjoy everything CCLA has to offer. Should you have any questions or require assistance, our POA office and community team are here to support you.
Once again, welcome to the Country Club of Louisiana Property Owners Association. We are thrilled to have you as a part of our community and look forward to building lasting memories together.
Sincerely,
Board of Directors
